These cotton fibers have very small diameters or thickness. The long thin fibers of Egyptian cotton are twisted in to small threads or yarn they become a strong smooth yarn results with longer lengths of continuous fiber than other cotton varieties. After these thin fine yarns are weaved into fabric, the results are a finer textured material which feels very soft and smooth.
